APPLICATION: SENIOR UX DESIGNER
About the Senior UX Designer Role:
The ideal applicant is enthusiastic about AR/XR/3D, creative tools, data visualization, and interface prototypes for cutting-edge technology. This role is critical to ensure that product design and implementation are aligned to customer and market value. You will need to develop a deep understanding of the ecosystems, expectations, and needs surrounding seller and consumer immersive shopping experiences. You will be responsible for designing solutions for client and customer use cases aligned to persona needs. You will partner with the product team to do user research and validate user flows and user interface designs.
Responsibilities:
Lead design thinking in our organization. Create user-centered designs by considering market analysis, conducting user research to understand behavior and needs, analyzing usability findings, and presenting recommendations.
Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, and animated flows.
Work with product & engineering team to architect, design, build, and test new capabilities in the immersive 3D/AR/VR commerce domain.
Design the user interface and workflows for a 3D and AR content management platform for brand creators to use to deliver immersive commerce experiences for end-users.
Develop understanding via internal/external research of jobs to be done and user workflows and how functional changes impact those workflows.
Work with software engineers to support implementation of UX specifications. Review development work in test environments and submit feedback to ensure high quality delivery that meets specs ahead of production launches.
Manage fast-paced delivery across multiple priorities, adjusting to meet product and engineering timelines.
Assist with marketing activities as needed, such as branding, charts, illustrations, imagery, marketing collateral design.
Required Experience and Skills:
+3 years experience in consumer UX Design, including 2 years on commerce or shopping UX.
+2 years experience with B2B product design.
Ability to be flexible, embrace ambiguity, take initiative, and learn new skills on a regular basis.
Proven experience advocating for and executing design work that has a measurable impact on both user experience and business performance indicators.
Experience in designing cross platform experiences.
Ability to influence without authority, working with technical and cross-functional teams, and delivering UX specifications to engineering teams.
Ability to extract complex concepts and quickly turn around flows and mock-ups reflecting a range of options.
Entrepreneurial drive with an appreciation for, and experience developing emerging technology products and services.
Experience conducting usability research and incorporating feedback into the UX design process.
Comfort with new technology/thinking outside the box to develop and implement short and long-term creative solutions.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field from a four year accredited college/university, or equivalent experience.
Desired Experience and Skills:
Experience designing for AR, VR, or 3D.
Comfortable presenting to peers, stakeholders, senior executives, and external customers.
